Hey all I recently bought a very old Brown Sharpe ???no. 1 horizontal mill. I don't have it home yet. I'm told it's a Brown Sharpe 9 or 10 taper. It doesn't use a draw bar just the center on the over arm. Can I use a collet holder on this without an arbor or any short arbor without a draw bar or the over arm?

This sale is for one BROWN AND SHARPE USA No. 0( see pic) high speed swiveling Vertical Head for use on a Brown and Sharpe Horizontal Milling Machine. The mounting holes are 23/4" diameter and 41/2 between Centers. I think this item fits the Universal Horizontal Mill But i am not sure. It came with a groupe of parts i purchased.

This is a veritable Sutton Hoo hoard of Brown Sharpe No. 30 cam lock tooling. These should fit a BS #2 mill and the Omniversal, possibly others but it is your responsibility to confirm that these tools will fit your machine. The cam lock system is similar to but not compatible with the larger DeVlieg Flash Change system.
