Before milling process, PEEK powder and silica nanoparticles both were dried in a vacuum oven at 150 °C for 4 h for dehydrating. A sample of PEEK/10 vol.% SiO 2 nanoparticles was physically blended and milled at ambient temperature in a planetary ball milling device (Retsch PM100).
